Isabella’s Story

Since Isabella was born in March 2019 she has had challenges. Isabella weighed just four pounds at birth at the 5th percentile for her age. Then at 2 years of age Isabella was diagnosed with nonverbal autism. Shortly afterwards Isabella faced a new diagnosis of Wilms Tumor (kidney cancer), the doctors said there was a high probability she would lose her hair. Isabella had a regular routine of taking a bath each day and having her hair done by Mom. After she received her first chemo it took just five days for Isabella’s hair to fall out. It was devastating for Isabella to not be able to recognize herself when she looked in the mirror.
