MarcusMarcus’s Story

Marcus never had any symptoms besides headaches before being diagnosed with Medulloblastoma. On September 29, 2017 we went to the ER for severe headaches, slurred speech and being off balance. After a CT scan they discovered that Marcus had a brain tumor. Marcus had surgery to remove the tumor on September 30, 2017. It was found to be Medullblastoma. He is receiving radiation and chemotherapy. As a result of the surgery, Marcus has developed posterior fossa syndrome. He is now completely dependent and has difficulty communicating. With physical therapy he is expected to make a full recovery, but this will take a long time.
