Sergio’s Story

My name is Sergio and I’m 12 years old. I have been a great student with awesome grades. My part of school is going to PE class, meeting new people and hanging out with my friends. I also love spending time with my family, going to the movies and video games. I was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma in April of 2019. Since being diagnosed I received a port in order to start chemotherapy treatments. Within 3 weeks of beginning chemo the texture of my hair started to feel different. I decide along with my parents that it was best to cut my hair. At first it felt weird to have such short hair but my family has said not to worry as it’s only hair and will eventually grow back.
