4Aiden’s Story

BBP Aiden is a beautiful boy with Down syndrome who loves music, spinning, and playing with clothes. He is non-verbal, but in his own special way, he can still let us know, in a limited way, what he wants and needs.

In November 2025, we heard the words no parent ever wants to hear: Aiden was diagnosed with B-cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (B-ALL). And just like that, our world changed. His journey began.

The first month was brutal. Aiden lost weight, lost his hair, and was overwhelmingly tired. His beautiful smile disappeared, and watching that happen broke our hearts.

Aiden doesn’t understand what is happening to him. He doesn’t understand why he has to be poked and prodded, why he feels nauseous, or why his body sometimes just feels so bad. He can’t tell us when something hurts or explain what he is feeling. As his parents, that is one of the hardest parts of this journey.

Yet somehow, through all of this, Aiden’s innocence continues to be a miracle.

He keeps finding his way back to his smile, his spins and music. He does the things that make him uniquely Aiden. He is fighting a battle every single day—and he doesn’t even know it. We will keep reminding him, through every step of this journey, just how deeply he is loved.
