Brianna’s Story
When BBP Brianna was diagnosed with B-Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia, she felt confused, scared, and shocked because everything happened so quickly. She didn’t understand why she was having so many tests or what was happening to me.
One of the hardest parts was learning that she would not be able to go back to school. She had just started high school, something she had been looking forward to for so long. Instead, her life suddenly became filled with surgery, treatments, multiple hospital stays, clinic visits, and learning how to take all kinds of medications.
This journey has been challenging both emotionally and physically. It has been hard not feeling “normal” anymore or being able to do the things she enjoys most. The hardest part has definitely been losing her hair. Her long hair meant so much to her, and she was excited to style it differently each day for school.
Even though this has been a difficult journey, she knows it is temporary and that her hair will grow back. She is especially thankful to have her family by her side, supporting her through every step.
