Mia’s Story
When Mia was first diagnosed she did not want to lose her hair. She soon became more comfortable with the idea and the fact that she had little control. Mia had long hair and did not want to shave her head. Her hair started to fall out in big sections and Mia made the decision to cut it with excitement. Since I’m a hair stylist I took her into the bathroom and used sheers to cut half an inch all the way around, Mis helped to cut the front strands. Mis’s challenge was that she would look like a boy now with short hair. Every day I remind her that long hair doesn’t define you and that she is beautiful inside and out!
