Angelica’s Story
I’m a normal girl in my twenties. I love my family, my friends, and I was excited for all that life had in store. I worked hard to earn a full scholarship to the University of Arizona, where I was studying psychology.
Then, my life changed.
In January, BBP Angelica was told she had cancer. A month later, she was diagnosed with Ewing Sarcoma.
Treatment brought many changes, including losing my long, curly hair that framed my face. While it may not be the most painful side effect, it has been one of the most noticeable. I’ve had to relearn what I see when I look in the mirror and discover what I want to look like now.
It has taken a lot of self-reflection, but I’ve learned something important:
I am beautiful.
And I am excited for life to continue.
