Carter’s Story

Carter was a healthy little boy, or so it seemed. While traveling to Utah for a family vacation, We noticed Carter’s lymph nodes were very swollen so we took him to the ER in Flagstaff. From there, we were ambulances back to Tucson and admitted for Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML). Carter had aspirational pneumonia and ended up intubated for eight days, he pulled through and continued with treatment. Carter has a large family with many brothers and sisters all pulling for him.
