Desiree’s Story

In March 2022 I injured my left leg while exercising and thought I had torn a muscle. It was four months later and many physicians input to determine I had Stage 3 Osteosarcoma. After a Pet scan I was changed to Stage 4 after a new spot was revealed on my lung. During this process I was able to preserve my “eggs” prior to treatment. After chemo next steps will be surgery to remove my fibula.

Losing my hair during treatment was just one challenge. I have many losses during treatment such as my independence, employment and relationships. I know that my photo shoot will help with my self esteem and feeling beautiful.
