Haley’s Story

Haley had been living in Belize with her mom when she became ill. As a U.S. citizen, it was decided that she would return to the U.S. to live with her dad while undergoing treatment. However, her diagnosis and treatment were delayed during her journey back to the States with her older sister. Eventually, Haley was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma (bone cancer) with metastasis.

Although she deeply misses her mom, stepdad, and half-siblings, Haley is adjusting to life in the U.S. and is focused on her treatment and recovery.
