Janelle’s Story

Janelle was diagnosed with sickle cell anemia as a baby, but she had no major health issues until the past year, when she began experiencing frequent respiratory infections, leading to multiple hospital visits. By God’s grace, her younger sister turned out to be a perfect match for a bone marrow transplant!

The transplant required Janelle to undergo chemotherapy, which caused her to lose her hair. Despite the challenging treatments and countless needle sticks, Janelle showed incredible bravery throughout the process. She did feel down when her hair started to fall out, but with the love and support of her strong support system, she was able to cope with the loss.

Janelle emerged from her bone marrow transplant even stronger and continues to shine as the beautiful soul, angel, and princess she is.
