Leylanie’s Story

Leylanie was just 10 years old when she woke up with a bump on her eye lid over the summer of 2022. Doctors in her small hometown thought she had an eye infection, within a week it was nearly completely shut. Mom wanted to seek further guidance and headed to Tucson where the hospital ordered an MRI and found a mass growing around Leylanie’s eye! She had surgery to remove the mass a few days later and was diagnosed with Rhabdomyosarcoma.

Once treatment began she saw how much hair was losing and found it to be scary and very sad. Leylanie looks back in her photo shoot to remind her of how strong and beautiful she is throughout her journey.
