Mateo’s Story

At just four years old Mateo began feeling very ill and had been diagnosed with severe aplastic anemia he ended up hospitalized for two weeks for hepatitis of an unknown origin and then suffered an intracranial hemorrhage and was in ICU for over two additional weeks. This delayed his treatment plan for a Bone Marrow Transplant while recovering from brain surgery. Once Mateo could have his transplant, he spent another two months in-patient, his Dad was his donor.
