LuisOlivia’s Story

In May 2024, at just 11 years old, Olivia was diagnosed with B-Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. Her journey since then has been filled with challenges, but her strength and resilience continue to inspire everyone around her.

On the very first day of chemotherapy, her first question was, “Am I going to lose my hair?” Olivia had been growing her hair her entire life, and by 11, she had finally reached the length she’d always dreamed of. She loved her hair—it was part of who she was.

When it began falling out, Olivia made the brave decision to cut it into a pixie. It was a tough and emotional day, and she struggled with the fear of being stared at and the feeling that she had lost a piece of her identity.

Later in treatment, she lost her hair a second time—another difficult moment. But even through the hard days, Olivia has found small moments of light, even sharing how she likes the feeling of rubbing her bald head.

Today, she knows she’s come a long way from where she started. Olivia is learning to embrace her new look, her new strength, and everything she’s become on this journey.
