SierraSierra’s Story

Sierra is 16 years old and the oldest of four. This is her third cancer diagnosis, Sierra was originally diagnosed with T-Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) at three years old. She went through 1 1/2 years of chemo and cranial radiation and finished that diagnosis exceptionally well!

Then after 6 years in remission Sierra relapsed again with T-Cell ALL at 11 years old. This time a bone marrow transplant was needed and her sister was a perfect match! The second time around proved to be more difficult by Sierra persevered.

About a year into remission Sierra started having discomfort, an MRI showed a large mass in Sierra’s back and ultimately, Sierra’s third cancer diagnosis, this time with Ewing’s Sarcoma. The mass goes from her lower back to her diaphragm including two spots on her lung. Sierra started chemotherapy, is using a walker and wheelchair and started online school. Sierra continues to remain strong throughout.
